Garden Tap Installation Using Existing Capped Water Line | Beechboro

At A-Team Plumbing and Gas, we regularly assist homeowners with practical outdoor plumbing solutions, including new garden tap installations. Recently, we completed a garden tap installation by connecting to an existing capped water line already located underground on the property.
Scope of Works
Our work involved installing a new 15mm copper water line from the existing capped line in the ground to the desired tap location. The copper pipework was run exposed up the external wall, ensuring durability, neat presentation, and ease of future access if required.
A new garden tap was installed in the same position as the previous tap, restoring convenient outdoor water access for everyday use such as gardening, washing down outdoor areas, and general maintenance.

Finishing and Reinstatement
Once the plumbing connection was completed and tested, the trench area was backfilled, and the garden surface was reinstated to the best possible condition, leaving the area tidy and functional.
The Result
The client now has a fully operational garden tap, securely connected to the existing water supply and installed to current plumbing standards. Using copper pipework ensures longevity and reliability, particularly for exposed external installations.
